Frequently Asked Questions

The Atlantic Association of Registrars and Admissions Officers (AARAO) is a member based non-profit association made up of post-secondary institutions right here in Atlantic Canada. For many years, AARAO has organized in-person post-secondary fairs to connect prospective students and their supporters with post-secondary representatives at venues throughout Atlantic and Eastern Canada. This year we will be coming to you virtually via the Post-Secondary Opportunities Expo, powered by vFairs, with all information typically available at an in-person event (and more!) accessible to the public 24/7!
Doing your research can help you pick the right experience, program, and school for you. Having the opportunity to explore as many as 50 post-secondary options (universities, colleges, and complimentary programs and resources) all in one convenient online location can help you understand what programs are offered, how much to budget, and what experience you can expect to have with those that you are interested in.
Anyone who is considering their post-secondary options during, or after having completed high school should attend the Expo. Students of all ages and their supporters (parents, guardians, family members, Guidance Counsellors, or anyone else!) are welcome to attend and discover a multitude of post-secondary possibilities offered in Atlantic Canada and beyond. There is something for everyone!
By registering, you will have 24/7 access to the virtual Expo from September 2021 through February 2022 to explore at your leisure. We will have representatives available at their “virtual booths” for live IM chat and video call on September 29th and December 2nd from 9:00AM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-9:00PM AST. We will also offer a series of virtual hangouts on select evenings throughout the fall and winter in our AARAO Kumospace for a truly fun and interactive experience. A full schedule of virtual hangout events and instructions on how to participate will be provided to all registrants – see you there!
